Minutes of the Meeting
- In accordance with the decisions reached during the last annual general meeting (AGM), the association has successfully finalized the new Memorandum of Association (MOA) within the
stipulated timeline. President Sri Sarad Kumar Mirani officially handed over the final draft of the MoA to the Headmaster, marking a significant milestone as far as the functioning of NRVP is concerned. - Summer Retreat 2026 dates were finalzied for May 16-17, 2026.
- Extensive discussion was held for Reunion planning and coordination.

- Sri Deep Narayan Sarkar and Sri Tirthankar Debnath raised specific concerns regarding the provision of free lunch coupons for life members. Since the new MoA provides for doing away
with the term ‘life member’ and all students who are passing out of the Vidyalaya now are being automatically registered as members against a one-time fee, the ‘free lunch for life members’ idea will have to be discarded eventually. The matter will have to be taken up in the next AGM. - In a generous gesture marking the 50th year of their passing out, the 1976 HS batch has decided to present mementos to all ex-students attending the Reunion. Sri Deep Narayan Sarkar informed this to the EC
- As far as Reunion registration is concerned, space becomes an issue every year, it was pointed out. This can be managed better if the space in front of the new college building can be utlilized.
- For enhanced outreach, Sri Deep Narayan Sarkar proposed outdoor advertising. Sri Debabrata Roychowdhury and Sri Suvadeep Sarkar emphasized on the need for online pre-registration for Reunion participation.
- To ensure professional data management, headmaster maharaj suggested appointing a dedicated resource i.e. a part-time office assistant at the NRVP office. All members agreed to this. A
committee was formed constituting Sri Suvadeep Sarkar, Sri Rajat Nath, and Sri Sudipta Saha to carry out the hiring process and guiding the resource. - Sri Pradyot Majumdar proposed mandatory online registration for Reunion participation with a strict cutoff date. Sri Deep Narayan Sarkar proposed that the manual on-spot registration option
will also be available, but pre-registration will have to be strongly encouraged. - Reunion subcommittees will be formed in the next meeting, date for which is to be announced shortly. At least six committees to be formed: Registration and Reception, Stage, Food, Merchandise, Aam Bagan programme (if any), Overall management.

- This year Blood donation camp will be organized by the school in collaboration with a third party. Sri Deep Narayan Sarkar proposed a health camp for non-teaching staff in collaboration with Jagannath Gupta Memorial Medical College and Hospital (Budge Budge). The members welcomed he idea. The EC reaffirmed its commitment to the 1979 batch about its continued support to the Mediclaim insurance for retired teachers project.
5. Three member were inducted to the newsletter committee. They are Sri Sudipta Saha, Sri Rupadeep Mondal and Sri Saswata Maity. - The batch of 1973 committed approximately ₹1 lakh t the Blind Boys Academy for the procurement of a 3D printer with ₹40,000 already paid. Sri Suryasarathi Barat informed that the batch would
transfer the remaining amount to NRVP so that the final order can be placed by March 31. While appreciating NRVP’s continued support to BBA, Swami Ishteshananda, respected headmaster
maharaj, reminded the EC that the primary allegiance of NRVP is towards the Vidyalaya. He requested the EC to note this while planning its future activities and making financial commitments. - Regarding the proposed swimming pool project, which carries a minimum budgetary requirement of ₹60 lakh, the 1976 HS batch has already committed ₹10 lakh toward the procurement of necessary mechanical and electrical equipment. The school has officially received approval from Belur Math authority. Sri Deep Narayan Sarkar and Sri Saswata Maity are actively involved in the execution of the project.
- The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks by the President. He expressed gratitude to all members for their contributions and commitment to the association’s goals. He also requested members to take up NRVP responsibilities keeping in mind their availability and other commitments. For creating state-wise and country-wise WhatsApp groups, Sri Sudip Palit was requested by the EC to be present at the meeting. The discussion could not be held since he did not turn up. Following the meeting, the attendees gathered for a hearty lunch at Shivananda Bhavan.
